We’re proud to announce that our own Education Manager, Missy Burke, and Head Start/Early Head Start Director, Donna Barrow, Ed.D., are honored to join Dr. Angela Sillars, Ph.D. and Dr. Lauren Weiss, Ph.D., as the Keynote Speakers on Tuesday, July 30th at the Eighth Annual Vermont Early Childhood Educators Institute (ECEI). All 135 slots are now filled with a waitlist!
The “The Power of Shared Learning” keynote presentation will explore how Early Childhood Education (ECE) programs benefit from authentic learning experiences in community organizations.
Since 2022, the RCHS / Vermont State University Castleton Campus partnership has demonstrated the innovative ways collaboration between community organizations and university programs enhance learning and build better early learning experiences for young children. The panelists will discuss the projects and share photographs and work samples of the virtual behavior assessment project, mural project, and VTSU expressive arts class held on site at Rutland County Head Start.
The ECEI equips early childhood and afterschool educators to provide high quality experiences. Coordinated by Vermont State University, the Institute also makes it easy for those seeking or renewing licensure in this critically important field to get the credits or certification they need online while learning through a rich curriculum developed by expert instructors.
